Withnell is a sustainable slow fashion brand founded by Paula Roworth. Paula works from her Lancashire based studio where every garment is designed and handmade to order using quality natural fabrics, threads and trims, often organic and artisanal.
Withnell is founded on her love of the countryside and a desire to be as responsible as possible. She is nature led, not fashion led and her colour palette reflects the environment that she is immersed in. Each style has been designed with quality, longevity and durability in mind. This is the reverse of fast fashion. Slow fashion is what Withnell is about. Slow in the processes that go on in the studio, hand making each garment to order so that nothing is wasted. Slow in the carefully considered decisions about which natural fabrics, threads and trims to use. Slow in the honest approach to design for simple, comfortable, versatile garments that will withstand the test of time.
