MIXED MEDIA PAINTING Workshop

A selection of primary source subject matter is the focus of this exciting, fun and creative two day workshop event.

Seasonal primary sources include a range of organic forms, fruit, flowers and foliage.

The workshops are designed to introduce, improve and develop observational drawing skills, allowing you to adopt a personal approach to sketching, drawing and painting.

You will gain an understanding of the Visual Elements which include line, tone, shape, form, colour and texture which are all applied to your artwork.

You will also experiment with mark making techniques and investigate the mixing and application of a wide range of medium.

You have opportunities to investigate various drawing techniques such as continuous line and gestural drawing. Artwork is completed on sheets of mixed media paper.

The weekend workshop is structured and is conducted in a friendly, relaxed setting with group demonstrations and individual guidance given throughout the sessions by a qualified and experience tutor.

Art materials, paper, equipment and protective aprons are all provided.
