MIXED MEDIA PAINTING Workshop

This creative and fun workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate level enthusiasts.

The workshop equips you with some very quick but effective mixed media drawing and surface pattern techniques that will allow you to complete a painting that captures the essence of a selection of Spring flowers and foliage to include Tulips, Wax Flowers & Pussy Willow.

The vase of fresh flowers is designed to inform your painting and your artwork is a personal response to it resulting in an original and unique mixed media painting personal to you!

You will begin your painting by mapping out the entire composition and then using resist techniques you’ll mask all the light coloured flowers. After applying a background wash you will develop your painting by applying a range of drawing and mark making techniques using graphite, ink based watercolours, water colour pencils and drawing pencils.

Demonstrations and individual guidance from a qualified and experienced tutor is given throughout this popular workshop to help and support you with your artwork.
