Mixed Media Painting – Purple Iris

This creative workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate level enthusiasts. Fully embrace the opportunity to create a mixed media painting of purple Iris using watercolour, gouache, drawing pencil and watercolour pencils. The workshop introduces you to some effective mixed media drawing & painting techniques that will allow you to complete a painting that captures the surfaces, textures and beauty of these simply glorious flowers.

After applying a background wash, you will use various drawing and painting methods to create depth, texture and tone. As you develop and refine your painting you will apply a range of drawing and mark making techniques to capture detail and delicacy. Demonstrations and individual guidance are given by a qualified and experienced tutor throughout this delightful workshop to support you with your artwork.
