DESCRIPTION:Join the friendly and knowledgable team at Rufford Printing Company for an individual Letterpress Workshop Experience.\nYou will experience 1 to 1 instruction, enabling you to create a poster using metal and wood type from an extensive array of type cases and using the Vandercook Universal III proofing press.\nWorkshop Details:\nUsing wood and metal type you will design a poster of your own. Size approx 22″ x 18″. The design will be printed by you using black ink with the opportunity to introduce a second colour.\nRufford Printing Co will teach you how to set metal type from a typecase using a traditional printers composing stick. You will also be taught how to make-ready the printing forms, lock with quoins and prepare for printing.\nWorkshop Dates:\nSessions will be held within the working workshop at Rufford Printing Co in The Design Shed at Cedar Farm, between 10am and 1pm on the following dates:\nWednesday April 27th\nWednesday May 4th\nWednesday May 11th\nWednesday May 18th\nThese are not walk-in sessions.
